Upon graduating from the program, students obtain skills and competencies in the field of oil and gas recovery, refining and transportation, including such areas as inspection and maintenance of the line main gas pipelines and operation of facilities for the reception, storage and shipment of crude oil and refined products.

  • Technology and operating procedures for pipelines in oil and gas fields;
  • Methods, technology and equipment to prepare oil and gas for transportation and to protect gas, oil and refined products from corrosion;
  • Treatment facilities equipment for oil and gas transport and storage;
  • Operation technology of gas pumping unit drives and underground natural gas storage facilities;
  • Transportation and storage technology of liquefied hydrocarbon gas, oil and other refined products;
  • Specifications for the operation of gas pumping unit drives, underground storage of natural gas and pipelines of liquefied hydrocarbon gas.

The graduate’s professional tasks:

  • To carry out technological processes of pipeline transport of oil and gas and underground gas storage;
  • To operate and maintain the technological equipment used in pipeline transportation of oil and gas and underground gas storage;
  • To carry out and adjust technological processes during the construction, repair and reconstruction of recovery, transportation, storage and distribution facilities of oil, refined products and gas onshore and offshore;
  • To carry out technological processes of oil, refined products and liquefied gases storage and sales.

As a result of mastering the Bachelor’s program, the graduate should have the following competencies:

  • Carrying out preparatory works to repair the linear part of the main gas pipelines, offshoot pipelines and structures located on them;
  • Organization and maintenance of scheduled preventive and remedial operations, mitigation of emergencies on the linear part of the main gas pipelines;
  • Supervision of works performed by contracting organizations on the linear part of the main gas pipelines;
  • Industrial and economic support of such technological processes as intake, storage and shipment of oil and refined products;
  • Maintaining the process of intake, storage and shipment of oil and refined products;
  • Monitoring the production indicators performed by the operation department of the oil product pumping station;
  • Organizational and technical support for maintenance, repair, diagnostic examination of oil product pumping station equipment;
  • Development of proposals to improve the efficiency of the oil product pumping station equipment.
