Educational System

There are three cycles of higher education:

1. first cycle university education: Bachelor's programs (Bakalavr);
2. second cycle university education: Specialist's (Specialist) or Master's degree (Magistr) programs;
3. the highest qualification cadres training: PhD degree (Candidat Nauk) and postdoctoral studies (Doktor Nauk).

University Course duration:

• Bachelor's degree - 4 years
• Specialist - 5 years
• Master's degree (after Bachelor's) - 2 years
• Postgraduate course – 3 – 4 years
• Postdoctoral studies - 8 years or more
