They got to know Ancient Russia traditions
On May 17, participants of the project «We are different, we are together!» visited an unusual excursion-quest, which took place in the interactive multimedia historical park «Russia - my history». 35 students from Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Tunisia, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Senegal and Russia plunged into the history of Ancient Russia.
Divided into four teams, the participants had to pass several tests and build a fortress tower. So, for each completed task, the teams received bars for the construction of a fortress, and they were also awarded points, according to the sum of which the winner of the quest was later determined.
Experienced guides helped the students to successfully cope with the tasks. In addition, the park «Russia - My History» has interactive panels, screens and stands informing about the cuisine, clothes, architecture and customs of the ancient Russian people.
A student of the Institute of Oil and Gas Technologies Ibrahim Mohammed Zrar from Iraq noted that during the tour they learned a lot of new and useful information about the culture of the Russian people. Another representative of the Institute of Oil and Gas Technologies Dashti Ayub Ahmed from Kurdistan added that all participants were simply delighted with what they saw. The young man believes that such excursions and projects should be carried out more often.
Samara Polytech project «We are different, we are together!» implemented with grant support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). Its executor is the spiritual and educational cultural center of the university together with the department for work with foreign students.
