Experts discussed topical issues of solving differential equations
On February 7, on the eve of the Day of Russian Science, the traditional seminar "Differential Equations" was held at the Department of Higher Mathematics. The purpose of the scientific meeting is to discuss modern achievements in the field of differential equations and exchange ideas for further research.
Olga Yusupova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Samara Polytech, Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
– Today our seminar takes place at the international level. Its task is to become a platform for developing the professional skills of the younger generation,” she noted. - Mathematics is the most difficult science. There are students who are genuinely interested in mathematics. We try our best to support them. For example, we are planning to release a collection of RSCI for young researchers this year.
The event was joined by Russian and foreign experts. So, in addition to mathematicians from the Samara Polytech, scientists from the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, the Sterlitamak branch of the Ufa University of Science and Technology, and the Elabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University became participants in the seminar. Foreign colleagues presented the universities of Uzbekistan - Termez State University and the National University named after Mirzo Ulugbek, as well as Kazakhstan - the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling and the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The scientists discussed direct and inverse boundary value problems for partial differential equations of hyperbolic, elliptic and parabolic types, as well as boundary value problems for mixed type equations.
