New Study Conducted by the Association of Ranking Compilers

The first international ranking of the best universities in BRICS countries has been published on the Moscow International Ranking "Three University Missions" website. The list features 600 universities from Russia, China, Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and South Africa. Among them are 161 Russian universities, including Samara Polytech. Nationally, Polytech ranks between 103 and 126, while on the global scale it holds the 401–450 position.

This new BRICS-focused ranking applies methodologies from the global "Three University Missions" evaluation, assessing universities across 17 criteria in education, science, and societal engagement. A significant factor was the volume of joint scientific publications with BRICS country partners.

The compilers highlight the ranking’s importance, noting that BRICS countries have been underrepresented in existing global university rankings despite being a vast and rapidly growing educational market.

For Samara Polytech, this recognition is particularly meaningful. The university has actively built partnerships across the Middle East and South America for years. Students from China, Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, and Saudi Arabia participate in Polytech’s pre-university training and higher education programs. Additionally, Samara Polytech’s researchers collaborate with their counterparts in Iran and China on projects spanning ecology, chemistry, oil and gas, energy, and information technology.
