Samara Polytech Has Strengthened Positions in the RUR International Ranking

The RUR rating agency has published the international university ranking Round University Ranking

The rating agency RUR has published the next international university ranking Round University Ranking (RUR). This year, 1,169 educational institutions from more than 80 countries, including 131 Russian universities, took part in it. Samara Polytech is again included in the rating list and ranks 72nd in the national segment of the study. Last year’s position of our university was 74. In the global ranking, Samara Polytech rose from 1052 to 957 line.

RUR is the first ranking of the world's leading universities developed in Russia. Educational institutions are assessed on 20 parameters, combined into four categories: quality of teaching (40% of the institution's assessment), quality of research (40%), level of internationalization (10%) and level of financial sustainability (10%). In addition to the general ones, the agency also publishes ratings in the specified areas of activity. Thus, Samara Polytech received high marks in several categories:

  1. Academic rating:
    number of awarded doctoral degrees per academic staff member – 855th place (in 2023 – 900th place);
    global reputation of the academic / visibility on the Internet - 998th place (in 2023 - 1068th place).
  2. Research rating:
    citations for academic and research personnel - 856th place (in 2023 - 977th place);
    normalized citation impact – 923rd place (in 2023 – 1002nd place);
    the number of articles per number of academic and research staff – 774th place (in 2023 – 862nd place).
  3. International Diversity Ranking:
    share of international academic staff – 1085th place (in 2023 – 1136th place);
    the share of foreign students – 811th place (in 2023 – 908th place);
    share of articles in international co-authorship – 983rd place (in 2023 – 1079th place);
    reputation outside the region / influence of new media – 975th place (in 2023 – 1133rd place);
    international level – 1103rd place (in 2023 – 1188th place).
  4. Financial stability rating:
    research income per institutional income / level of financial stability – 685th place (in 2023 – 752nd place).
