Samara Polytech Introduced new Developments and Education Techniques
September 6 was the day of opening All-Russia Forum of Higher Education and Science “Samara Science Pathway” on the occasion of 50th Anniversary of Samara Board of Rectors. This great event gathered together the students and applicants, professors and scientists, officials and international guests. Samara Polytech delegation chaired by the Rector Dmitry Bykov was a part of the Forum.
Top Scientific and Educational Developments of Regional Higher Education Institutions were displayed, and Dmitry Bykov gladly shared Samara Polytech experience in working with talented children.
‘Getting the youth involved in Science should start at an early age’ says the Rector of Samara Polytech. ‘Everyone has their talents, and this is our job, as a Higher Education Institution, to spot them, grow them, and help people display their talents. Thus, Samara Polytech performs a fair amount of cross-disciplinary projects. For instance, “Vzlet” is a project where children do specific tasks in different areas. Science Collaboration House at Samara Polytech offers more than 160 Educational Programmes for students of schools, from Robotics to Architecture. After becoming a student of Samra Polytech each can build their own Educational Track’.
Dmitry Bykov also mentioned University collaboration with Industrial Partners. He put a special emphasis on Employer-Sponsored Academic Programme “Engineering Start” together with JSC “Kuznetsov”, and training experts for CJSC “NEFTEFLOT”.
Samara Polytech young scientists showed projects for Digital Materials Science “TroopsPro”, AR-Projects workshop, Software for volumetric arc surfacing, uncrewed surface-underwater vehicles "Glideron" and "Kalan", and many more. Also, 14 Regional and Federal Higher Education Institutions displayed their innovative solutions and achievements.
At the same time Samara Polytech received guests from Indonesia and Azerbaijan. During the meeting representatives of each Institution discussed most relevant ways of cooperation, signed the Agreements, and visited Samara Polytech Oil and Gas laboratories afterwards.
“Samara Science Pathway” was organized by Samara Board of Rectors and Samara Region Ministry of Education and Science at Vladimir Vysotsky Hall of Sports. The Forum continued for two days and was over on September 8.
