2. Petroleum Engineering Faculty

The Petroleum Engineering Faculty is a powerful Centre of Science and Education in the field of deep-well construction, oil, and gas production, refining and pipe-lining, as well as environmental protection.

3. Chemical Engineering Faculty

Chemical technology products are everywhere in our life. They are clothes we wear, food and beverages we eat and drink, toiletries and medicines we utilise. There are many important specialists at chemical enterprises, but the quality of the goods, which they produce, depends primarily on the professionalism of the one who is considered to be the key figure. It is the Chemical Technologist. We train specialists for both chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as for oil-refinery plants.

4. Automation and Information Technology Institute

The Automation and Information Technology Institution was founded in 1959. We were the first in Samara to train specialists in automation, measurement and computer sciences. Now we train bachelors, masters and engineers in the most significant areas. Our alumni work as managers and leading specialists at various enterprises that create and operate information systems and technologies maintaining research and development, banking operations, traffic and telecommunication networks, as well as ecological monitoring.

The Heat Power Engineering Faculty is one of the oldest faculties in the Samara State Technical University. The first specialists graduated in 1935. 75 years later there is still a great demand for thermal power engineers all over the world.

8. Food Production Technologies Faculty

The Samara Region is rich in natural resources. There are a large number of enterprises, such as agricultural companies, food production and processing firms. The abundance of raw material supplies allows crops processing and secondary raw materials reprocessing. Our laboratories are equipped with modern equipment for studies and research. We are the only university in the Volga Region which has its own mini-brewery for training qualified specialists.

9. Engineering Economics Faculty

Researches into economics and management, as well as teaching and learning subjects at Samara State Technical University have a long history. The foundation of the faculty is associated with the era of the bringing down of the Berlin wall, Perestroika and moving forward to a market based economy. 1992 was a hard time in the history of our country, hence the emergence of our faculty to train the next generation of economists and managers, symbolizing hope for the future development of Russia under the influence of significant social, economic and political environmental changes.
